San Antonio Tutoring

Alamo Music Center offers lessons for a variety of instruments at both of our San Antonio locations. Customized learning plans are developed based on each individual's needs, weaknesses, strengths, background, level of confidence, and interests, and students get to study rhythm, music theory, ear training, and other musicianship skills via computer tutorials as well.
The group is known for being fun, engaging, and thorough in its instruction to all ages and levels and provides an important foundation Piano Lessons for piano playing as well as knowledge of music composition, appreciation, history, ear training, theory, and technique.



Professor Ivan Hurd currently serves as Lecturer of Piano Pedagogy and Coordinator of Class Piano at the University of Texas at San Antonio where he teaches piano pedagogy, piano literature, class piano, applied piano lessons, and coordinates the class piano program.
He was the recipient of the Frieda Derdeyn Bambas Piano Endowed Scholarship, the Alice and Albert Kirkpatrick Scholarship in Piano, the Martha M. Boucher Piano Scholarship, and as a graduate student at the University of Oklahoma, received the Provost Certificate of Distinction for Outstanding Graduate Assistant Teaching for two consecutive years.

At School of Rock, our piano lessons give adult students the chance to perform in a band at local San Antonio music venues, taking them out of the classroom and onto the stage. Typically students will be expected to memorize at least two piano pieces in preparation for the next performance.
All Performance Program students are eligible to audition for this prestigious program. Took Piano lessons from Dan S. Northside Music School was started in 1954 and has provided lessons to students of all levels, ages and backgrounds ever since. Lessons are taught by both full-time and part-time faculty.

I'm Arianna and I have been playing as well as learning piano for the past 16 years. Originally the opened and operated their own music school in the Highland Park area of San Antonio.
