OHSU Family Medicine and Japan Association for Development of Community Medicine (JADECOM) both benefit from an international exchange program. From The School of Medicine is turning out around 10% of the nation's radiotherapists, also the faculty is trying to encourage students as they confront an increasingly wider perspective on this society by providing personnel capable of achieving the ability to realize solutions within a wide range of activities.
Meanwhile, the university's Special Research Group for Silicon and Carbon Science has brought together top-class scholars from chemistry, 塾 chemical biology, electronic engineering, medical science and many other fields to leverage collective expertise and foster innovation.

Year 4 applies to study for qualifications (exempting those which are attainable in Year 3). For instance, students training as physical education teachers are required to complete a teacher training component, while those seeking the health and exercise advisor qualification will undertake a Field Training for Advisors component.
To help accelerate his research efforts, the Graduate School of Medicine installed six electrophysiology devices in an electrophysiology laboratory within the division of neuroscience, allowing Hirai's team to carry out fundamental studies of the physiology and function of the cerebellum.
Institutions of higher education such as Gunma University and Maebashi Institute of Technology, R&D bases such as Takasaki Advanced Radiation Research Institute of National Institutes for Quantum and Radiological Science and Technology and Gunma Industrial Technology Center, and medical facilities such as Gunma University Hospital and the four prefectural hospitals are partnering in collaboration between engineering and medicine.

This summer, I had the special opportunity of being invited to travel to Japan with OHSU Family Medicine faculty and residents for the 7th Annual Japan Primary Care Conference, where I had the chance to speak to medical students about our Family Medicine Interest Group programing.

This significant event was attended by the Vice Chancellor of University of Zambia, the Deputy Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Education, Science, Vocational Training and Early Education, the Ambassador of Japan to Zambia, the Director of Hokkaido University Lusaka Office, and the General Manager of Toshiba Corporation Johannesburg Representative Office.
We now also have a facility dedicated to multidisciplinary research for innovation in molecular life sciences and academia-industry collaboration, which is also used by departments of the University of Tokyo's School of Engineering and School of Science, among others.
To further improve the cell culturing process and technology, Medinet pursues research at its own R&D centre, the Medinet Medical Institute, where researchers also accumulate preclinical and clinical data on immune cell therapy and estimate the expected efficacy of the treatment.

The university also has a strong commitment to international exchange and currently maintains educational relations at the institutional and departmental level with 85 partner universities and institutes in 18 countries.

During their rotations JADECOM residents participate in a variety of activities including resident conferences, meetings, Faculty Development sessions, clinical observations, and rotations in rural health care centers located throughout Oregon.
